Seriously, GreatestJournal's admin, system, just needs to put the poor site out of its misery if he's going to give up on it anyway. Tonight I checked my email and found a bunch of comment notifications from GJ.

For entries months old. For comments months old.

Oh, and I did have it set to disallow anonymous comments, because of the amount of spam I was getting.

Yep, got new spam, too. So settings are fried. Other people have complained of the site constantly logging them out, so much so that they can't even make new entries using the site's editor (though Semagic seems to work okay).

Turns out the main server crashed today. It's running on its backup server.

And again, system said (paraphrased) "bugger off to Insane Journal and leave me alone."

So anyway, just in case anyone wondered, I can also now be found on InsaneJournal, with the same username as always, HamatoKameko. It's got a piss-yellow theme at the moment because I haven't customized the settings yet, but what the hell; it's not as if most of you would go to my journal itself anyway. That's what friends pages are for. :P

Here's a link for the lazy. ;)

Don't worry, I'm still on LiveJournal and I'll be on GreatestJournal as long as it's still around. I'm trying to get Semagic to let me mirror my blog on Blogger, too, but I'm having trouble with the settings, and I seriously can't be arsed to do it manually. I'll get around to setting it up proper eventually. :P

Cloverfield, Ruined. [Jan. 17th, 2008|05:30 pm]

Hey Gary. Yeah, you, Gary Cogill, film critic for WFAA Channel 8 (Dallas area ABC affiliate).

Thanks. A lot.

No, really, I'm impressed. You've clearly got balls of steel.

You must, since you just completely destroyed all the hype and mystery and curiousity the unique marketing campaign for Cloverfield has built up over the past months.

I was really looking forward to getting to see this film, impressed as I was by the unusual cinematography style and absolutely crazy marketing, let alone the incredible ability of those involved to keep leaks from getting out, something that, in the Internet age, is a near impossibility.

But since you've just spoiled the surprise and fun of discovering for oneself what actually happens in the film, I can't say I have much motivation to bother seeing it, now.

Way to thank me for trusting your opinions for the last sixteen years.
