It's always nice to be volunteered for a call-in shift at a store you're not at all familiar with and have never even driven to, that is vastly more stressful than your usual work environment, and that is also a good twenty minutes further than your usual already 30-minute commute, without so much as a "hey, would you mind filling in here for them since they're in a tight spot?"
Oh, and the shift is 6 PM to 10 PM.
There's a winter storm warning for our area, with freezing precipitation expected starting around 9 PM or so.
Yay for a long drive home over unfamiliar, dark and possibly icy roads.
I should be home around eleven or so, presuming I survive that long. |
